Summary
This is the fourth workshop of HerRise, a hands-on program for women entrepreneurs hosted by Shibuya City and run by the Startup Lady Association. The theme is startup finance: participants learn how to plan, raise and deploy capital systematically and connect it to their growth strategy. The speaker is Kazumasa Ito, a Sony alumnus and former CTO of Cerevo Inc., who now advises several large corporations on investment strategy and business development.
Optional mentoring office hours run from 10:00 to 17:00 (advance booking recommended), followed by the in-person workshop in Shibuya from 18:30 to 20:30 and networking until 21:00. Japanese-English interpretation is provided, though business-level Japanese is recommended. Attendance is free with pre-registration and limited seats.
The program targets women founders within roughly ten years of founding, women planning to incorporate within the next few years, and Shibuya Startup Visa holders or S-startups certified companies. It is a six-part series that allows drop-in attendance, with upcoming sessions on investor pitching and team building.
