Summary
The second meetup for food-related companies hosted by Food Growth Studio (FGS). The theme is food x inbound and outbound business: practitioners who have opened up two major global markets share real success stories and hard-earned lessons, offering practical hints attendees can apply right away. The venue is the 2F ROOM at Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB) in Yurakucho. In session 1, the CEO of Asset Frontier, who grew the halal Japanese food brand Honolu into the largest in Japan, discusses the Muslim market of 3 billion people as a new frontier for Japanese food brands, including common misconceptions and painful failures from inbound and overseas expansion. In session 2, a partner advisor at NEXT81 covers concrete tactics for the overseas Chinese market through cross-border e-commerce and overseas store expansion, along with the pitfalls Japanese companies tend to fall into. From 20:00 there is a networking reception with light food and drinks for attendees from food-related companies. Capacity is about 100 people.
