Startups Wanted to Co-create with Local Governments! The Meet 2026 Hiroshima Open Accelerator Briefing & Municipality Pitch

This is a briefing session for "The Meet 2026 Hiroshima Open Accelerator," organized by Hiroshima Prefecture. The program matches local governments in the prefecture with startups that bring digital technology, aiming to solve regional and administrative challenges through joint development and proof-of-concept work. This year 40 challenges from 14 cities and towns will be presented. The session covers the program overview and schedule, and officials from participating municipalities present the challenges they are seeking solutions for. Those presenters also join the networking event afterward, giving attendees a chance to talk directly before entries open. "The Meet," launched in 2023, has accumulated 114 challenges, 926 solution proposals, and 93 selections across fields such as disaster prevention, education, transport, tourism, urban planning, and government DX. The session is aimed at startups considering business expansion through partnerships with local governments, startups wanting to apply their technology to social and regional issues, and companies seeking experience working with the public sector. The venue is Tokyo Innovation Base and admission is free.
