Summary
A study session for university startup support staff, co-hosted by Keio University's Innovation Promotion Office with Teikyo University and Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology. Practitioners from each university share and discuss what they have learned about designing, running and delivering support programs for university-born startups. It is part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's university startup creation support program.
Keio opens by presenting a survey report, based on interviews with the three universities, comparing and analyzing university startup support organizations. Two panel discussions follow: Teikyo's on how far universities should go in supporting their startups, and Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology's on intellectual property strategy for university startups. The session closes with networking.
It is aimed at practitioners such as URAs, industry-academia collaboration and incubation staff, entrepreneurship educators, and staff at local governments and public support bodies. Free, with about 40 seats.
