The second Demo Day from Black Belt Global Venture Studio (BBV), selected for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's TOKYO SUTEAM startup support program. Building on the Oxford-originated Science of Startups research, it examines how founding-team personality traits and diversity relate to early-stage success. After a video presentation by Professor Paul McCarthy, experts from academia, startup support and investing hold a panel on What Makes an Early-Stage Startup Successful?. Twelve early-stage startups from Japan and abroad supported by BBV then present, followed by 1on1 meetings and networking with investors, VCs, CVCs and corporates. The event mixes English and Japanese with translated subtitles.
