Summary
A beginner-level workshop where participants design and print an original name tag using Autodesk Fusion and a Bambu Lab H2D 3D printer. The session walks through basic modeling operations hands-on, then covers the design considerations and practical tips needed to get a model to print cleanly.
The instructor draws on real production experience to explain where 3D printing actually helps in making things, with worked examples. Basic operation of an FFF-style 3D printer is included, so no prior printer experience is assumed.
The venue is TIB FAB on the 2nd floor of Tokyo Innovation Base. Doors at 18:20, session from 18:30 to 20:30, 300 yen, 5 seats, open to ages 15 and up. Bring a laptop with the free trial of Autodesk Fusion already installed, plus a mouse. Prior registration as a TIB member is required.
About the community
A small-group hands-on workshop series run out of a fabrication space attached to an innovation hub in Marunouchi. The space exists so beginners can try equipment such as 3D printers and laser cutters themselves, and it draws working adults interested in prototyping and starting hardware ventures. Introductory sessions like this one recur several times a month.
