StEX 2026 Student Space Exploration Conference: Space x Robotics Now and Next, powered by TIB FAB

A conference bringing student teams working on space exploration and hardware engineering together with companies, supporters, and general attendees. It runs at Tokyo Innovation Base, 1F "SQUARE 2" in Marunouchi, Chiyoda, on Tuesday 15 September 2026 from 16:00 to 20:00 (doors 15:30). Attendance is free, but entry requires a free TIB membership registration. The program opens with a keynote and continues through three talk sessions: how international collaboration and cross-disciplinary engineering shape the next generation of engineers, where student teams tackling space and hardware projects stand today, and why teams build Mars rovers, including how extreme-environment exploration feeds back into ground technology and disaster response. KARURA Project, an international team of Japanese and American students founded in September 2022, reports on its Mars rover development and three consecutive appearances at the University Rover Challenge. The final hour is a networking reception with company and student-team exhibition booths, aimed at industry-academia connections across generations. It is open to anyone interested in space and robotics technology, and to companies and organizations focused on technical education and early-career talent.
