Summary
A practical seminar on getting real results from exhibiting at trade shows and conferences. Even as webinars have become routine, in-person events such as seminars and exhibitions carry growing weight. The session organizes the whole cycle: pre-show preparation including announcements and press handling, booth operations on the day, and customer follow-up afterwards, all aimed at securing quality leads and real sales conversations.
The guiding idea is not to solve problems by spending more, but to run events efficiently in both cost and time, which puts the weight on what happens before the show opens. The speaker draws on continuous visits to SusHi Tech Tokyo, Global Startup EXPO, TechGALA and CES, and shares how practices seen abroad can be applied at venues in Japan. Companies exhibiting at, or considering, CES2027 (Las Vegas, January 2027) will find the material especially relevant.
The intended audience is corporate exhibition and convention leads, new-business and CVC teams at larger companies, founders and startup staff, and public-sector people working on startup support and ecosystem building. The talk starts at 17:00 and is followed by networking from 18:05. Admission is free, capacity is 100, and attendees may come and go during the program.
About the community
Part of a free seminar series held at a Tokyo-run hub for startup support. It draws a broad mix of founders, new-business staff from larger companies, investors, and public-sector people working on the startup ecosystem. A networking block follows the talk, and the format deliberately favors flat conversation and chance encounters over formal presentation.
