Free Admission: "Modern-Day Tokiwaso" Entrepreneur Program Prototype Showcase (with Keynote)

This is the prototype showcase by the first cohort of the "Modern-Day Tokiwaso" entrepreneur development program, part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's support scheme for animators aiming at global careers. Creators in anime and manga selected last October present what they built over roughly eleven months in the program. The program supports creators in turning their work into a business through a dedicated production space, Atelier Lab, inside the Tokyo Content Incubation Center (TCIC), plus training in digital skills and business knowledge and matching opportunities with content companies. The keynote is given by Daiki Sakurai, representative director of Salamander Pictures and an anime producer and screenwriter, on "Becoming a creator who works globally: the creative and the business perspective". Sakurai debuted as a screenwriter on Ghost in the Shell: STAND ALONE COMPLEX at Production I.G, served as a director on Netflix's anime creative team from 2017, and founded his own company in 2023. The venue is Tokyo Innovation Base 2F STAGE, with doors at 15:30, a 16:00 start and a scheduled 19:30 finish. After the cohort presentations, commentator remarks and an introduction of the second cohort, networking runs from 18:45. Admission is free, there is no online stream, and entry requires downloading the TIB app and registering an account.
