Summary
The 2026 edition of a startup pitch contest built around the idea that science and technology can change the world. Seven startups (planned) from Japan and abroad present their technology and business to a panel of judges. It runs in person at the 2F STAGE of Tokyo Innovation Base in Marunouchi, with no online stream.
Doors open at 13:30, a keynote follows at 13:45, then four pitches from 14:30 and three more from 15:40. Judging from 16:15 includes elevator pitches, the award ceremony and closing remarks are at 16:40, and networking runs from 17:00 to 18:00.
Applications to pitch are still open through the event site (the-crosspoint.com/pitch-2026) until September 23. Co-hosts are Tokyo University of Science, Shinjuku City, and Tokyo University of Science Investment Management Co., Ltd. Entry to the venue requires the QR code issued by the TIB app.
About the community
An annual pitch contest that draws founders, investors, and university researchers working in science, technology, and deep tech. It is aimed at technology that has not yet drawn wide attention, and ran under the same format in 2025. People attend either to watch or to apply as a presenter, and the closing networking session is where the mixing happens.
