Hokenno Katachi 2026 Demo Day: A Hackathon to Build New Insurance

Demo Day closing out Hokenno Katachi 2026, a hackathon co-hosted by a community focused on collaboration across the insurance industry and a business planning firm specializing in financial planning and finance. Teams built insurance and risk-care services on top of insurance APIs and risk-care APIs, with the brief centered on customer-first design and real customer experience value. Teams that cleared the first round present their entries, take questions from the judging panel, and then go through final judging. The program closes with the announcement of the grand prize, runner-up, and honorable mention awards plus a special prize, followed by the awards ceremony. Twelve teams are competing, ranging from corporates such as Itochu Techno-Solutions, Sunbridge Solutions, Optage, and Tata Consultancy Services Japan through to individual entrants. The panel includes a lawyer, insurance company executives, consulting firm partners, a university professor, and an insurance journalist. The venue is SQUARE-1 on the 1st floor of Tokyo Innovation Base, and the event is in person only. Doors open at 16:30, the program starts at 17:00, and a standing reception runs from 19:00 to 20:00 in the same space. Admission is free, but entry requires TIB membership registration in advance via the TIB app.
