Summary
Tokyo GXS, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's support program for GX (green transformation) startups, is running a reverse pitch event focused on partnerships with corporates working on GX and environmental measures. The format inverts the usual pitch: the corporates present their own challenges and needs, the technologies and services they are looking for, and where collaboration could go next, while attending startups and SMEs look for openings for joint projects, proof-of-concept trials, and business tie-ups.
Four companies selected by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government will present. Cosmo Energy Holdings covers biomass-derived fuels and chemicals, low-carbon hydrogen production, CO2 separation and capture, and power utilization technology. Tokyo Gas covers GX consulting and disclosure, energy efficiency with AI control, thin lightweight solar, carbon credits, commercial storage batteries, demand response, and EV charging. Nomura Real Estate Holdings covers renewables, next-generation energy, insulation and efficiency, biodiversity, circular design, and carbon credits. Fuji Electric covers the hydrogen society, fuel conversion, thermoelectrification systems, energy storage, DC distribution, and decarbonization. Each pitch runs 5 minutes with 2 minutes of Q&A.
Doors open at 13:00 and the program starts at 13:30, with networking from 14:00 to 15:00. The venue is Tokyo Innovation Base in Marunouchi, and attendance is in person only with no streaming. Admission is free, but registration goes through a dedicated form rather than a Peatix ticket. Eligible attendees are startups founded within the past 10 years, or SMEs with a registered head office or branch in Tokyo.
About the community
The gathering sits inside a Tokyo Metropolitan Government program that matches corporates with startups in the GX (green transformation) field. Attendees are mostly early-stage startups and Tokyo-based SMEs looking for partners, and sessions recur in a format that pairs corporate needs briefings with networking. Once a match is made, the program supports both parties through to signing an LOI or an offtake agreement.
