Summary
The second meetup of MoRo, a cluster focused on next-generation mobility and robotics. The theme is what technology and partnerships are needed to move from proof-of-concept trials to real-world deployment, covered through startup pitches and reverse pitches from the corporates that make up the cluster.
Part 1 (13:00 to 14:00) is a special edition of the global expansion support program, a practical seminar titled "Overseas Expansion Roadmaps and the Basics of Regulatory Compliance". It covers target market selection, certification and regulatory fundamentals, and how to build an expansion roadmap, presented by a certified SME consultant with a design background in the aerospace and automotive industries.
Part 2 (14:15 to 16:00) is the MoRo PITCH session and networking. Project updates from inprog, Liberaware and EcoSlide are followed by reverse pitches from Tokyu Land Holdings and JATCO, then pitches from Doup Robotics and RapidX. A business matching and networking block closes the afternoon, giving access to operating companies, investors and support organizations. Attendance is free, but entry to the venue requires prior registration in the TIB member app.
About the community
MoRo (.make Mobility & Robotics) is a cluster of companies and research bodies working on next-generation mobility and robotics, selected for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's TIB CATAPULT program. It aims to support members from R&D through field deployment and overseas expansion, and runs a recurring meetup series where startups, operating companies, investors and support organizations meet regularly. The audience is practitioners actively pursuing deployment or partnerships, and the format pairs pitches and reverse pitches with a networking block.
