Summary
An extended edition of JichiTIME Meet Up, the recurring meeting point between local governments and startups. It runs on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 15:00 to 17:30 at Square 1 on the first floor of TIB (Tokyo Innovation Base), with doors opening at 14:30. There is no capacity limit and attendees can come and go freely. The program has three parts. A co-creation case pitch session covers concrete collaborations already running between local governments and startups, with the featured startups also hosting booths in the networking area. A regional innovation pitch session gives many local governments and partner organizations a short slot each to lay out their regional challenges, open themes, and collaboration needs. The closing booth exhibition and networking session leaves time for direct conversation and new partnerships. Confirmed speakers come from the prefectures of Tochigi, Wakayama, Gunma, Aomori, Miyagi and Hiroshima, the cities of Sendai, Kumamoto, Nagoya, Utsunomiya, Hamamatsu, Okayama, Sakai, Miyazaki, Komatsu, Takamatsu, Kobe, Toyota and Toyohashi, plus the Miyazaki Open City Promotion Council and Joyo Bank in the regional bank slot. Zero One Booster is a cooperating partner. Entry requires registering in the TIB app and showing a QR code, so signing up in advance is recommended.
About the community

JichiTIME Meet Up is a recurring meetup series that connects entrepreneurs who want to work with the public sector and government staff looking for startup partners. This installment is an extended edition combining short pitches, booth exhibits, and open networking. There is no fee and no capacity cap, and attendees can enter and leave at will, so it suits both founders interested in public procurement or field trials and officials searching for partners on regional challenges.
