Summary
A beginner-friendly embedded programming workshop hosted by the TIB FAB team. Participants learn the basics and applications of MicroPython, write programs to control hardware, and experience implementing IoT device features. It is designed as a first step into microcontroller development.
Hands-on work uses the M5 Stick C Plus 2, covering display output, button input, speaker audio, and communication with external devices. Alongside this, attendees cover Python fundamentals such as variables and control flow, turning their own ideas into working programs while learning problem-solving and debugging techniques.
The session runs at TIB FAB on the 2nd floor of Tokyo Innovation Base. It is free, capped at 5 participants, and open to ages 15 and up. A laptop with the Thonny development environment installed (able to recognize USB drives and connect to Wi-Fi) is required.
