Summary
A briefing session hosted by Niigata Prefecture's AI Utilization Promotion Lab to introduce the Niigata AI Digital Playground program to AI developers in the Tokyo area. The initiative pairs Niigata-based companies with AI developers from inside and outside the prefecture to run real implementation pilots on actual business problems.
The session covers three pillars: an AI implementation subsidy of up to 10 million yen per project (with roughly 15 awards planned in the prefecture), a matching program that connects local companies' challenges with developers' technology, and the inaugural Niigata AI Expo 2026 in October (about 70 exhibitors, 3,500+ expected visitors). IP from the pilots stays with the AI developer side, and the program targets developers who want production deployments rather than throwaway PoCs.
The event runs as a hybrid: 50 in-person seats at Tokyo Innovation Base (TiB) near Yurakucho station, plus uncapped online attendance. Free to attend; registration is via a dedicated form.
