Summary
This is the first kickoff networking meetup for Yurutto Tokyo Jichitai Lab (Yuru Lab), a casual community for local-government employees and civil servants who have transferred from regional areas to work in Tokyo. Held at Tokyo Innovation Base, it aims to create a place where peers in the same situation can meet and connect outside of work.
The program starts with self-introductions, followed by a concerns-sharing session where attendees raise everyday challenges in small groups, then a social with drinks. Topics include the work of Tokyo branch offices, how to deal with approaches from private companies, and the isolation of being on assignment. It is framed as a relaxed place to share rather than to find answers. Bringing regional specialty products is welcomed, and those who do attend for free.
The event is for networking among public-sector workers, not for sales or business deals. Private-sector attendees are welcome given the venue, but joining to pitch products is discouraged. Capacity is around 50 people, and the fee is 1,000 yen paid on-site for light food and drink.
