Summary
The Tokyo chapter of 2600 holds its monthly meeting at beemars, a bar in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. The whole venue is reserved for the group during the two-hour slot, so attendees can talk openly without sharing the room with other patrons.
There is no fixed agenda and no speaker lineup. People come to discuss hacking, security research, and whatever else is on their mind. Newcomers are welcome alongside regulars, and the conversation moves at whatever pace the room sets.
This is the only active 2600 meeting in Japan, part of the long-running international network of meetings organized around the 2600 magazine community. A short video guide to finding the venue, on the third floor of the Shinjuku Lee Building, is linked from the event page.
About the community
A monthly, open-door gathering for people interested in hacking and information security in Tokyo. It follows the informal 2600 meeting format: no talks, no slides, just conversation in a reserved bar space. The crowd mixes security practitioners, hobbyists, and curious newcomers, and the meeting runs in the same evening slot each month.
