Summary
Tokyo Python hosts Jarek Potiuk, longtime PMC member of Apache Airflow and PMC chair of the new Apache Magpie project, together with Tokyo Python member and Airflow contributor Wei Lee. Wei opens with an introduction to Apache Airflow.
Jarek then covers how AI is changing open source: maintainers face more pull requests, bug reports and security reports with the same volunteer hours. Apache Magpie is an open-source library of reusable agent skills that helps maintainers triage issues, review PRs, handle security reports, verify releases and onboard contributors, and he shows how Airflow uses it today. No Airflow experience is needed; the session is for anyone who maintains, contributes to or depends on open source. It is held at Le Wagon Tokyo in Meguro, with Q&A and socializing afterwards.
