Tech Brunch Event

TechBrunch runs an NLP edition of its recurring meal-and-tech gathering at Beltempo, the restaurant inside Hotel Metropolitan Edmont in Iidabashi. The group meets over brunch to talk about how computers process and generate human language, covering the techniques, tools, and open problems in the field. Planned discussion topics include the mathematical foundations of NLP (linear algebra, calculus, probability), prompt engineering and context window management, and the wider ecosystem of core libraries, machine learning frameworks, and speech technologies. There is also room for deep dives into interoperability with languages such as Hy and Clojure, and for attendees to share lessons from real-world NLP projects. Computational linguists, computer scientists, mathematicians, data scientists, software developers, and anyone simply curious about NLP are welcome. First-time attendees who RSVP and appear on the confirmed attendee list get their meal for free. RSVP is worth doing: the organizers may relocate on the day, and this is deliberately a small gathering rather than a large event.
