Tech Brunch Event

TechBrunch is a small-group meetup that pairs a relaxed hotel-restaurant brunch with a technical conversation, and this edition focuses on natural language processing. The group plans to talk through how computers process and generate human language, covering the techniques, tools and open challenges in the field. Planned discussion topics include the mathematical foundations of NLP (linear algebra, calculus and probability), prompt engineering and context window management, and the wider NLP ecosystem of core libraries, machine learning frameworks and speech technologies. There is also room for deeper dives into interoperability with languages such as Hy or Clojure, plus lessons attendees have taken from real-world NLP projects. The meetup is aimed at computational linguists, computer scientists, mathematicians, data scientists, software developers and anyone simply curious about NLP. It gathers at the restaurant Beltempo inside Hotel Metropolitan Edmont in Iidabashi. RSVP matters here: the group may relocate, and first-time attendees who RSVP and appear on the confirmed attendee list have their meal covered. Attendance is deliberately small, and the group may start slightly before the posted time while guaranteeing presence at the scheduled hour.
