Summary
A regular open house at a hackerspace in Akasaka (Nogizaka), Tokyo. The space opens every Tuesday and Wednesday night from 7:30 to 10 pm, and first-time visitors are welcome to drop in, introduce themselves, and see what the space works on. Tools on site include 3D printers and a laser cutter, and they can be used if needed. Note that 3D printing and laser cutting take a long time to set up, so an open house night is not always the best slot for serious fabrication work. The evening suits getting to know the equipment and the regulars first. This particular session is billed as a Nihongo Night, so conversation in the room runs mainly in Japanese. The venue is Azalea Akasaka room 102, 8-12-13 Akasaka, Minato City, Tokyo.
About the community

A community built around a shared workshop in Akasaka for people interested in making things: electronics, digital fabrication, and software alike. It runs open house nights every Tuesday and Wednesday, and non-members can drop in. The space is equipped with 3D printers, a laser cutter, and general tools, and the crowd ranges from experienced regulars to first-time visitors. Announcements go out in both Japanese and English.
