Summary
A weekly open house at the hackerspace in Akasaka, close to Nogizaka station, running from 19:30 to 22:00. The same open house runs on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, and anyone can drop in to say hello and find out what the space works on. Tools in the space can be used if needed, but equipment with a long setup time, such as the 3D printers and the laser cutter, is not well suited to an open house night. Those evenings work best as a chance to look around, ask questions, and talk with the regulars. The space is at 8-12-13 Akasaka, Azalea Akasaka room 102, Minato City, Tokyo 107-0052, following a move to the Nogizaka area. Access directions are published at tokyohackerspace.jp/access.
About the community

A volunteer-run hackerspace in central Tokyo whose members work on electronics, 3D printing, laser cutting, and general making projects. Open house nights happen every Tuesday and Wednesday and are aimed at newcomers as much as regulars, so the crowd mixes long-time members with people visiting for the first time. Sessions run in English, with Japanese speakers usually present, and no project or experience level is required to attend.
