Summary
Coffee and Code is a casual gathering for anyone who writes code or works in an IT-related field, whether they are just getting started or already experienced. Attendees bring a laptop, grab a coffee, and spend the morning talking about what they are building or learning, asking for help, and swapping tips. The meetup is open to people of any nationality or age. Japanese residents, permanent residents, travelers, students, and general tech enthusiasts all take part, so the group tends to be a mix of local and international members. After the session, participants often continue over lunch at a nearby restaurant starting around 12:30pm. The event is held at a Starbucks in the Roppongi Hills lobby. Note that on weekends the venue does not offer charging, so bringing a power bank is recommended.
About the community

A recurring, informal coding community in Tokyo that welcomes developers, career-starters, and anyone working in tech, regardless of nationality or experience level. Sessions are low-key and conversational: people work on their own projects, ask questions, and share what they are learning, often continuing the conversation over lunch afterward.
