Space Cafe Tokyo's June session brings a space-themed science talk to Good Heavens British Bar in Shimokitazawa. Dr. Manuel Perger (ICE-CSIC) presents "Artificial Intelligence in the Search for Life Beyond Our Solar System," covering how AI and machine learning are accelerating the discovery and characterization of exoplanets, and what that means for the search for life beyond our Solar System. Perger is a physicist who has worked on exoplanet detection in Barcelona since 2012, with a growing focus on host stars and machine learning tools. Doors open at 7:30pm and the talk starts at 8pm. Tickets are ¥1500 at the door (cash only) and include a first drink.
