Summary
Robotics x Tokyo hosts a panel discussion on STREAM education (Science, Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Art, Math) in Japan. The panel brings together representatives from SoftBank Robotics Japan, the TERAKOYA Program, Dr. Tech, and Tokyo Coding Club to examine the current state of STREAM education, how it compares internationally, and what could be done to improve it.
The agenda runs through three sections covering the present landscape, each organization's approach, and the future of the field, including the role of anime, manga, and games in drawing young people toward robotics. A Q&A with the audience follows, and the evening continues with around two hours of socializing and networking.
The session is held at CIC Tokyo in Toranomon, with food and refreshments sponsored by TokyoDev. It follows on from an earlier session run by EN Innovation hosting high school students from India in a robotics immersion program.
