Japanese-Hungarian Biotech Business Seminar

"Hungary Life Science Night" is a business seminar and networking reception at Tokyo Innovation Base, held on the sidelines of BioJapan 2026, Regenerative Medicine JAPAN 2026 and healthTECH JAPAN 2026. It aims to connect Hungarian biotech startups with Japanese corporate leaders, investors, research institutions and digital health stakeholders, and to open pathways for Japanese companies into the Hungarian and EU markets. The program opens with remarks from the Ambassador of Hungary to Japan and officials from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Startup Strategy Promotion Headquarters, followed by an overview of the Hungarian life science ecosystem. Five organizations then give 15-minute pitches: the Hungarian Biotech Association, Neo-Antigen Biotechnology (epitope-based vaccines), SigmaDrugs (Sigma-1 receptor agonist therapies), Turbine (virtual cell simulation for drug discovery) and VRG Therapeutics (AI-driven miniprotein therapeutics). The evening closes with a two-hour networking reception with 1-on-1 B2B meetings and Hungarian food and drinks. Target attendees include pharma and medtech executives, VCs and CVCs, accelerators, university researchers and tech transfer officers, and Japanese startups considering European expansion.
