A business seminar and networking reception on Japan-Hungary life science collaboration, held at Tokyo Innovation Base on the sidelines of BioJapan 2026. It opens with remarks from the Ambassador of Hungary to Japan and officials from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, followed by an overview of the Hungarian life science ecosystem and how Japanese companies can use Hungary as a gateway into the EU market.
Six Hungarian organizations give 15-minute pitches: the Hungarian Biotech Association, Neo-Antigen Biotechnology, Richter Gedeon, SigmaDrugs, Turbine (AI-driven virtual cell simulation) and VRG Therapeutics (AI-assisted miniprotein drug discovery). The evening closes with 1-on-1 business meetings and a reception with Hungarian food and drinks.
Aimed at biotech, pharma and medtech executives, VCs and CVCs, accelerators, university researchers and tech transfer officers, and Japanese startups considering European expansion. On-site attendees must register for the Tokyo Innovation Base app before arrival.
