Summary
Introduction Pitch vol.1 is an event where international founders building startups in Japan present their products, services, and vision to the community. The session features Louis from JLPT matome, an e-learning platform that helps learners prepare for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, and Ethan from BEVATAR (BearVFX), a company building AI avatar technology for human-AI interaction across retail, healthcare, exhibitions, and robotics. After the pitches, there is a Q&A session where attendees can ask the founders questions directly, followed by a networking session. The event also introduces Shibuya Startup Support, an initiative by the Shibuya City Office that provides guidance, visa and incorporation support, and access to the local startup ecosystem for international entrepreneurs launching or expanding businesses in Japan.
About the community

This event brings together international founders based in Japan to pitch their startups to a room of entrepreneurs, aspiring founders, and community members. Sessions combine short pitch presentations with audience Q&A and an open networking period, aimed at people considering or already building a startup in Japan. As the first installment (vol.1) of this pitch series, it introduces attendees to a growing community of Startup Visa holders and international entrepreneurs in the city.
