Summary
The 26th meetup from Spectrum Tokyo, a platform that takes a broad view of design. This edition's theme is "tell us passionately about the design you are doing now", with five-minute lightning talks in Japanese and English from people at Concent, i3DESIGN, Muture, Japan Digital Design, Findy, an ex-Shopify product designer and others. Topics include what designers should spend time on as AI expands what they can do, and designing without a design file.
The meetup draws people from many roles, not only designers, and puts the emphasis on casual mingling between talk blocks. It runs in both Japanese and English. The venue is i3DESIGN in Akasaka, Minato (5 minutes from Aoyama-itchome Station), tickets are 1,000 yen in advance or 2,000 yen at the door, and attendees must be 20 or older since alcohol is served.
About the community
Spectrum Tokyo is a platform for exploring new design trends and a broader idea of what design means, running media, events, and a festival. Its recurring meetups bring together people from many roles, not only designers, to hear lightning talks on design in the broad sense and meet new peers. Meetups run in both Japanese and English with a deliberately casual atmosphere.
