Summary
The spring edition of the Startup Ecosystem Association Japan (SEAJ) quarterly Global Startup Ecosystem Meeting. The series digs into startup ecosystems around the world, sharing success stories, challenges, and network-building results with the goal of energizing Japan's own ecosystem.
This session covers Boston and Chicago. Boston concentrates world-class research institutions such as Harvard and MIT, with CIC Boston at the core of an ecosystem where entrepreneurship and academia intersect. Chicago, long a manufacturing and Midwest logistics hub, plans to open a major quantum-focused facility by 2030. Both cities are drawing international attention as new models for supporting hardware startups.
Speakers are SEAJ representative director Ayumi Fujimoto and vice representative director Masaru Nagura. The event runs from 12:00 to 13:30, in person only at Tokyo Innovation Base, with a Q&A and networking session following the presentations.
