Summary
Spectrum Tokyo Festival 2027 is a two-day design festival where people discuss design with the energy of a rock festival. Talks and workshops run across multiple stages, and practitioners meet each other over booths, food, and drinks. This year's theme is "Edge": in an age when AI endlessly generates the average, it looks at uncompromising worldviews, impulses that resist words, and questions about shifting morality.
Every session ties to one of three themes: devoting one's humanity, obsessive craftsmanship, and the scales of morality. The venue is DMM.com on the 24th floor of Sumitomo Fudosan Roppongi Grand Tower. It is in person only, with archives published afterward. Japanese-English interpretation is provided, and tickets include food and drinks, the Day 1 evening party, and archive access to all talks. Attendees must be 20 or older because alcohol is served.

Spectrum Tokyo is a Tokyo-based design community for designers and other design practitioners. Its annual festival centers on talks and workshops across multiple stages, booths, and parties that bring attendees together, with Japanese-English interpretation for practitioners from Japan and abroad.
