Summary
Pitch & Connect is a pitch practice session for founders who want to test a startup idea before taking it to investors. Each participant gets a 5-minute slot followed by audience Q&A. This Shinagawa edition has moved online and runs over Zoom, free to attend.
Feedback comes from two reviewers. Omid Asgari, an associate professor at Tokyo International University specializing in neuromarketing and the founder of the learning platform Brainbox, comments on the substance of the ideas. Lee Jean, a pitch coach and three-time Antler alumnus, comments on presentation and storytelling.
The session closes with a 30-minute open networking block. It suits early-stage founders preparing for accelerators, demo days, or investor meetings, and it is also open to aspiring entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors who want to listen and connect.
About the community
The series is a recurring, low-pressure practice space for people building early-stage companies, drawing a mix of founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors. Sessions keep a consistent format of short pitches, open Q&A, and structured feedback on both idea and delivery, then leave time for unstructured networking afterward. English is the working language and attendance is free.
