Summary
Consciousness Club Tokyo hosts a screening of AM I?, a documentary following AI consciousness researcher Cameron Berg as he asks whether an AI could have conscious experience, how consciousness can be told apart from sophisticated behavior, and whether we can trust what AI systems say about themselves. The screening runs alongside a live conversation between Cameron Berg (founder of Reciprocal Research, joining online), director Milo Reed, and neuroscientist Ryota Kanai (founder and CEO of Araya). They discuss the film's questions from the angles of AI consciousness research, filmmaking, neuroscience and consciousness science, followed by audience Q&A and optional networking. The event takes place at KERNEL HONGO, the startup community space run by DEEPCORE in Bunkyo, Tokyo. Doors open at 17:30.
