Summary
JAM MEETUP is a meetup series where students talk casually with founders and professionals working at the front line of the startup ecosystem. This fifth edition takes the theme "building a business from what you want to do." Business ideas are usually framed as starting from a problem, but the session looks at founders who started instead from their own everyday interests, and walks through how their ventures actually developed.
Three guests speak: Ryogo Tsuzuki, CEO of finn Inc., which builds next-generation IP businesses; Yuko Kato, CEO of Omatsuri Japan Inc., which supports festivals across the country; and Tadahiro Inoue, COO of SOZOW Inc., who runs its in-person experience business. Guest business introductions and a talk session are followed by small-group networking, with open mingling time before and after.
The venue is the first floor of Tokyo Innovation Base, one minute on foot from the Kyobashi exit of Yurakucho Station. The programme runs 18:30 to 20:30 (doors 18:00, optional mingling from 17:30), attendance is free, capacity is around 30, and it is open to students. No fixed business idea is required to join.
About the community
A community based in Yurakucho where students connect with each other and with players across the startup ecosystem. Its programming includes "IDEA FLASH Session" for hands-on idea generation, "JAM MEETUP" for casual conversation with ecosystem players, and a weekly Wednesday student day that supports everything from finding an idea to putting it into words and validating a business.
