NINEJP Startup Pitch Event: Japan's Boldest Startups, Live in New York

NINEJP is running a curated pitch showcase in New York during Climate Week NYC, aimed at connecting Japan's university-driven innovation ecosystem with the U.S. East Coast investment community. The audience is investors, corporate partners, university innovation leaders, and ecosystem builders. The program opens at 11:00 with a keynote by Koji Murota, Director-in-General of the Office of IAC at Kyoto University, on how Japanese universities go global. A panel at 11:20 moderated by Daiki Nakajima of JETRO USA looks at how Japanese startups can reach their potential in New York, with Murat Aktihanoglu (Remarkable Ventures), Peter Stern (Manhattan Distance), and Osami Kono (Kyoto University Innovation Capital). Six Japanese startups pitch from 11:50, covering direct air capture additives for concrete, turning mining waste into CO2 removal plants, an overseas school for Japanese children, an art IP and licensing platform, SiC high-temperature electronics, and a security intelligence network.
