2026 Japan-Taiwan Innovation Summit Day 2: Startup Day

Startup Day is the second day of the 2026 Japan-Taiwan Innovation Summit, a business matching event that brings promising Taiwanese startups together with Japanese corporates, VCs and CVCs, accelerators, and startup support organizations. It runs at Tokyo Innovation Base in Chiyoda City, on the 2F STAGE, with the program starting at 10:30 and closing at 13:00. The morning opens with remarks from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's startup strategy headquarters, followed by keynotes and a special session from the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE), the Taiwan Venture Capital Association (TVCA), and BE Health Ventures. From 11:00 the floor goes to a pitch session with 36 Taiwanese startups, grouped into five tracks: healthtech and biomedical, AI and digital transformation, smart manufacturing and semiconductors, smart cities with security and safety, and retail, cross-border commerce, and ESG. Networking around the pitches is aimed at producing concrete openings for Japan-market entry: business alliances, PoCs, investment, and sales partnerships.
