Summary
Guillaume Binet, founder of Copper Robotics, presents Copper-rs, a Rust-first framework built to make robotics software simpler, safer, and deterministic by design. Robotics stacks are often fragile and hard to predict, and this talk explores how Copper takes a different approach by acting as a compiler, an operating system, and a deterministic runtime for robots.
Binet will walk through the basic structure of robotics stacks before showing where Copper fits, and explain why Rust is increasingly used in cutting-edge robotics development. The session is aimed at engineers curious about the intersection of systems programming and physical AI.
The evening runs at KERNEL HONGO with doors at 18:00, the talk from 18:30 to 19:30, and open socializing afterward until the venue closes at 21:00.
About the community
