Summary
This is the 535th online study session of a regional Rubyist community based in western Tokyo, held over Google Meet. Note that the start time has been moved to 21:00. The session opens with self-introductions, after which participants decide together which topics to cover. Discussions run from 21:30 and 22:00, with a planned close at 22:30, though the conversation sometimes continues until around 23:00.
The agenda is not fixed and is set according to what participants want. Candidate topics for this session include takeaways from RubyKaigi 2026 and Kaigi on Rails 2025, questions about problems people have hit in their own development work, and open time for individual research or building. Other suggested themes include reading through the Ruby Hacking Guide, Metaprogramming Ruby, and the Rails Guides, plus digging into REST architecture and how OpenID Connect works.
Participants should bring a laptop. Requests and discussion topics can be posted to the community Slack in advance or raised during self-introductions. People who want advice on Ruby or Rails are welcome, including beginners.
