Summary
This is the 534th online session of a regional Rubyist community based in western Tokyo. It runs on Google Meet, and the start time has been moved to 21:00. The session opens with introductions, then the group decides together which topics to cover. Candidate topics include takeaways from RubyKaigi 2026 and Kaigi on Rails 2025, questions about development problems people are stuck on, group reading of the Ruby Hacking Guide and the Rails guides, the Rails 7.1 changelog, and study sessions on REST architecture and OpenID Connect. The list is provisional and changes based on what attendees request. Time is also set aside for people to research their own questions or work on their own projects. The rough timeline is 21:00 for opening and introductions, discussion blocks at 21:30 and 22:00, and a 22:30 wrap-up, with an extended session sometimes running until around 23:00. Bring a laptop. The group uses Slack day to day for questions and link sharing, and registrants can join through the invite link. Newcomers to Ruby and Rails are welcome.
About the community

A regional Rubyist community based in the western part of Tokyo for people interested in Ruby, Rails, and the surrounding ecosystem. It meets online most weeks, and the format is less about scheduled talks than about attendees bringing topics, talking through them informally, and working on their own code. People with questions and complete beginners are both welcome, and the group keeps in touch through Slack and a Facebook group between meetups.
