Summary
This is the first offline conference held to mark ten years since the launch event on 15 December 2015. It looks back on a decade of workshops that let newcomers take their first step into OSS development, held across many regions and communities, plus the onboarding program that supports the second step.
The core of the day is time for people who joined past activities to share what helped them, what they noticed, and what made them glad. Talks run just 10 minutes each, so first-time speakers can take part easily. Sessions from 13:35 include "We ran OSS Gate at OPTiM" and "My career cannot be told without OSS Gate", grounded in real experience.
The venue is ANDPAD in Mita, Minato-ku, Tokyo (37F, Sumitomo Realty Tokyo Mita Garden Tower). Doors open at 13:00, the program starts at 13:30 and closes at 17:00, followed by a social until 19:00. After hearing what the past ten years produced, attendees think together about where the activity goes next.
About the community
A community built around a project aiming to steadily increase the number of people who keep taking part in OSS development. It runs workshops where newcomers experience the first step of contributing, hosted across many regions and local communities, and an ongoing onboarding program for the step after that. It is for people who want to get involved in OSS as well as those already involved, and this gathering is the first conference-format meeting drawing participants from all over Japan.
