Summary
OSS Gate marks its 10th anniversary since its December 2015 launch, and to celebrate it is holding its first offline conference, OSS Gate Pass 2026, in Mita, Tokyo. Over the past decade OSS Gate has run workshops where newcomers experience their first step into OSS development, along with onboarding to support the second step, all aimed at steadily increasing the number of people who keep contributing to open source.
At this milestone the event looks back on what has been achieved and invites past participants to share what helped them, what they noticed, and the moments that stayed with them. Listening to those voices, attendees will think together about where OSS Gate should head next. The organizers are calling for short 10-minute talks, so first-time speakers are encouraged to give it a try. Travel and accommodation support is planned for speakers coming from outside Tokyo.
Doors open at 13:00, sessions run from 13:30 to 17:00, followed by a social gathering from 17:00 to 19:00. The venue is ANDPAD Inc. (37th floor, Sumitomo Fudosan Tokyo Mita Garden Tower).
