Summary
OSS Gate Pass 2026 is the first offline conference held by OSS Gate, a community that helps people start contributing to open source software, to mark its 10th anniversary. Since its launch in 2015, OSS Gate has run workshops across Japan where newcomers take their first step into OSS development, along with follow-up programs like OSS Gate Onboarding, all aimed at steadily growing the number of people who keep contributing to OSS.
The event looks back on a decade of work and gives participants time to share what helped them, what they noticed, and what stayed with them through their involvement with OSS Gate. Talks run a short 10 minutes each, a format designed so that first-time speakers can easily apply. By listening to everyone's experiences, attendees will think together about where OSS Gate should go next.
The venue is ANDPAD in Mita, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Doors open at 13:00, and a social gathering is planned from 17:00 to 19:00 after the main program. Travel and lodging support is planned for speakers coming from outside Tokyo.
