Summary
An online study session where participants work independently on anything related to Haskell. Continue a hobby or work project, try out a library you have been curious about, or start learning the language from scratch. Asking each other questions and working through problems together is welcome.
To join, register for the Slack workspace and enter the #mokumoku-online channel. Note that messages in the main channels, including #mokumoku-online, are archived and published in the public Slack log on haskell.jp. Because the session is held online it is free, no reception slip is needed, and there is no after party.
The room opens at 12:50, self-introductions start at 13:00, focused work runs from 13:15, volunteers share what they built from 17:30, and the session wraps up at 18:00. Entering and leaving partway through is fine, so attending only part of the day works.
About the community
A Japanese community around the functional programming language Haskell, drawing everyone from first-time learners to developers using it professionally. The mokumoku session is a long-running regular event, now past its 350th edition, built around individual work rather than lectures. A Slack workspace and a public Slack log keep the discussion available to people who could not attend on the day.
